Hey PS3, Infinity Ward still hates you

18 10 2009

Infinity Ward has proven that they can make great games, Call of Duty Modern Warfare is no exception, however Infinity Ward still continues to show that they do not like the PS3. Here are a few reasons why.

-Still no update for COD 4: The PS3 version of Call of Duty 4 never received an update for trophies and rumble. While trophies is a much more complicated thing, we could have at least expected some rumble support. Most PS3 gamers have the dual shock 3 by now and htis is one of the few games that hasen’t been updated for it.

-Inferior PS3 version of MW: Modern Warfare on the PS3 was inferior to the Xbox in a few ways, featuring major frame rate problems, mostly when playing on split screen.

-Xbox Exclusive DLC: The Xbox 360 is getting its MW2 DLC a few weeks before the PS3, while PS3 owners probably wont have to wait a long time for it, we still will get it last, probably around the same time as the PC.

-Xbox shown in game-play videos: On all the game play videos they have shown i have never seen a working PS3 build. All trailers and videos were filmed using  the Xbox 360 controls and buttons.

-Xbox logo on the trailer: The infamy trailer for Modern Warfare 2 was by no doubt amazing, except the ending, advertising only the Xbox 360. You can view the trailer below.

Well at least PS3 still has Treyarch. They provided many updates, and our DLC at the same time as the Xbox and fixed most of the major PS3 problems.

I hate Infinity Crap… and I won’t get Modern Crapster 2 due to the lack of PS3 support… how the fuck do they dare to ask us PS3 owners to buy their game if they don’t support us!

Okay, this “article” is stupid.

1) Saying there’s still no rumble/trophy update for Call of Duty 4 is like saying there’s still no rumble/trophy update for Folklore or Metal Gear Solid 4 or Heavenly Sword, which there isn’t.

2) There’s so many differences in PS3/360 games nowadays. Some games the PS3 is superior and some games the Xbox 360 is. Modern Warfare 2 was developed with the Xbox 360 as their leading platform, so that was expected. The difference isn’t major.

3) Money talks. Microsoft showed it.

4) Once again, lead platform is Xbox 360 meaning that’s what they’ll show. Burnout Paradise was always shown on PS3 because that was its lead platform. Same shit applies.

5) Again. Microsoft payed for marketing on that trailer. So Xbox 360 logo.

1) Why would Infinity Ward add trophies and rumble for CoD4 if the sequel is coming out in less than a month? Would you rather have them go out of their way and support an outdated game and take time away from developing the sequel? (I know the game has gone gold btw, this is just an example).

2) Exactly what Steven said. Not all multiplatform games perform the same.

3) Same with the Fallout dlc, MS has money to give.

4) The reason for this is because for most, if not all the public showings of the game, it has been a Microsoft event (E3 MS booth). This and the 360 is the lead platform.

5) Read Stevens.

And btw, I don’t think having Treyarch is a positive lol.

@ Harknesss a couple months before the release of the new COD?? if it was gonna be updated it they would of added the trophies years ago. and why would,’t having TREYARCH be a positive? there DLC shits all over IW’s and they don’t charge 15$ for 3 maps. also you get more than 1 or 2 map packs. and MW2 is probably one of the most flawed games of this generation so what does that tell you about 360 games when 95% of you XBOX idiots are playing MW2
